We can fully appreciate that for many, the only way a large catamaran is affordable is if you build it yourself, however sometimes lack of expertise or time can result in false savings. We understand that the DIY boat builder sometimes needs a little help so we encourage owner builders to work collaboratively with us. This help can be in the form of:
- Advice on technical details of a build
- Materials selection and / or sourcing and supply
- Equipment selection and / or sourcing and supply
or it could be having us complete the initial construction, with you completing the fitout. This results in significant time savings for you as you can have you boat to a ‘lock up motor away’ stage on the water in a relatively short time, but, you can complete the fit out yourself at your leisure and to fit your budget. Kits can go together extremely quickly – to a lockup motor away stage in around 800 hours (Fusion 40), and to a sail away stage ranging between 4000 to 10,000 hours depending on design and finish. The other advantage using us to put together the kit is that when it comes to resale you can advertise that the boat was professionally assembled. Read below more on what our Principal Builder thinks about Kit building.
Please contact us and tell us what you need and we will be happy to help.
